I'm trying to use the MySQL C API, but I can't seem to connect to a remote server. When it does mysql_real_connect(), fprintf() gives the error: "Host '..' is not allowed to connect to this MySQL server (where '..' is a really long address- probably my own computer lol). The host, username, db, table, and password are all correct, but it won't let me connect to the remote server. mysql_init() was succesful though. do you know how I can fix that?
